About KamerJager
You know the feeling. Ten tabs open, refreshing every day, trying to be the first to respond — and still missing out. The Dutch student housing market is ruthless, and most platforms are built for landlords, not for you.
KamerJager is different. Built by a student, for students.
Hey, I am Thijs
Public Administration in Leiden · Founder of KamerJager.com
I study Public Administration in Leiden. One evening I found myself spending hours searching for rooms on five different sites and thought: there has to be a smarter way. So I just built a tool for myself — one that pulls everything together so I would not have to check everywhere.
No investors, no big team. Just me, a laptop, and a concrete problem. I have since found my own room. Now it is your turn.
What you get
There are currently an average of 1,800 rooms on the platform, spread across all major student cities in the Netherlands. New listings are automatically updated every hour — so you always see what just came online first.
For the price of a coffee, choose how you stay informed:
- Daily updates straight to your inbox
- Telegram bot — alerts as soon as something matching your search appears
- Auto Book — let the AI automatically respond to rooms the moment they go online, so you are always first in line
Cancel anytime. No hidden costs, no hassle.
Safe and trustworthy
KamerJager only links to well-known Dutch platforms like Kamernet, Kamer.nl and SSH. We never store payment details and never ask for money ourselves. If you spot anything suspicious, report it — I will personally look into it.
How it works
KamerJager automatically collects available rooms from multiple Dutch platforms and puts them in one place. You filter by city and budget, and click through to the original listing. That is it.
Honestly
I am not a big company. No VC money, no marketing team. I am a student who recognised a problem and built something that works. That also means I am personally reachable — via the contact form on the site. I read everything and respond myself.
If something is not right, I want to know.
— Thijs, founder KamerJager.com
